英国今日再次加息，利率首次超1%
英格兰银行今天准备再次加息，试图控制通货膨胀。自去年12月以来，英国已经四次提高利率，以应对不断上涨的生活成本。
截止到今年4月份，英国物价上涨了9%——这是自1980年代以来的最高通货膨胀率。
今天进一步加息，使银行的基准利率自2009年以来首次超过1%，将给抵押贷款持有人和其他借款人带来更大的压力，因为他们的债务成本将攀升。
数据显示，如果银行将利率提高到1.25%，这将使150,000英镑的浮动利率抵押贷款成本每月再增加18英镑。
利率再次上涨将会使英国家庭以及留学生们面临基本商品和服务成本增加，对家庭财务状况造成海啸般的打击。
英格兰银行利率制定货币政策委员会的官员昨晚表示将密切关注美联储美国同行的最新决定。
上个月美国的通货膨胀率达到8.6%，是40年来的最高水平。美国中央银行已推进自1994年以来最大规模的加息，昨晚将基准利率提高了0.75个百分点，至1.5%-1.75%的范围。
雪上加霜的是，美联储还大幅上调了对未来利率的预测，预计其关键利率到2024年可能达到3.8%。
北京、上海英国签证中心均已开放
今日，VFS官网显示6月13日关闭的北京签证中心及6月6日关闭的上海签证中心均已正常开放。还未办理签证的留学生们可以尽快安排时间进行预约。
VFS Global官方账号6月14日发布通知称：鉴于当前疫情形势及响应北京新冠肺炎疫情防控应急指挥部要求，北京英国签证中心已于2022年6月13日起暂时关闭，开放时间待进一步通知。
腐国“彩虹六月”骄傲游行回归
骄傲游行（Gay Pride）是LGBT族群（包括男同性恋，女同性恋，双性恋、跨性别、双性人、酷儿、无性恋等）为了支持LGBT权利所举行的游行庆典。
大部分骄傲游行在夏天举行，通常在6月，以纪念美国的“石墙骚乱”。
“石墙暴乱”是指1969年6月28日凌晨，在美国纽约石墙酒吧发生的一起暴力冲突事件。
1960年代同性恋在美国是被司法禁止的，同性恋受到严重歧视，丢掉工作，被迫送进精神病院甚至动手术切除部分脑叶的情况都是存在的。
当时法律规定酒吧若向同志群体提供服务就会被吊销营业执照，黑手党借机接手了石墙酒吧，贿赂警方，向该群体高价售卖劣质酒水，但同志们别无选择。
这里聚集了各式各样的边缘群体，像是变装皇后、跨性别者、有阴柔气质的男性、有阳刚气质的女性（Butch and femme）、男妓以及游民。
在黑手党的贿赂之下，石墙酒吧成了同志们少数的栖身之所，但当天凌晨不知为何，警方挑选了人潮正多的时候突击，对变装皇后动手后引发了群情激愤。
该地区很多同性恋者赶到石墙酒吧，聚集在一起唱着《Gay Power!》这首歌曲。此次事件后纽约市的同志们跨越了性别、种族、阶级，形成了一个有凝聚力的社群。
六个月时间纽约就成立了两个同志社群，以及三家致力于宣传同志生活境况的报社。接着在数年内，同志权利组织从美国延展到了全世界，这其中当然也少不了著名的“腐国”英国。
随着近年来LGBT群体的权益日益受到保障，骄傲游行渐渐失去了抗争色彩，演变成了一场全民参与的狂欢活动，除了LGBT群体外其他留学生也可以参与其中感受英国的文化氛围。
2019年，“石墙运动”50周年时，来自600个团体、组织和行业的3万人参加了伦敦的骄傲游行。
曾经参加伦敦第一次骄傲大游行的唐·培佩尔（Don Pepper）说，如今的情况与当年已经大不相同。
他说，那一天大约只有1000个人上街游行，他们都穿着平日的衣服，“没有人可以打扮，也没有人男扮女装。”
“那时候开车经过的人都会冲游行的人破口大骂要他们滚开，而现在人们在两旁欢呼。
后续还有剑桥、谢菲尔德、考文垂等城市游行正在计划中。
